    We use Signal to communicate. It’s helpful but not essential.

  2. Join and Apply
    Register on our website, get a membership number, and apply for shelter. Share your Signal number if possible.
  3. Privacy Protected
    We follow GDPR and keep your information safe. We follow our privacy policy.
  4. Join a Group Chat
    You’ll be added to a Signal group.
  5. Keep Us Updated
    Message us or update your booking if your plans change.
  6. Group Stays
    Larger groups may get their own chat and a lead guest to help coordinate.
  7. Allocation Timing
    You’ll be matched with a host about a week before your stay, earlier if needed.
  8. Contact Your Host
    We’ll send their number and postcode.  Ask them;
    1. Is bedding provided?
    2. Is food/kitchen shared?
    3. What are the house rules?
  9. No Money Between Guest and Host
    If your host needs support, ask them to contact us.
  10. Give Feedback
    Let us know how your stay went.
     

🏡For Hosts

  1. Check With Landlord/Insurer
    Make sure hosting is okay with them.
  2. Register Online
    Fill out the host form on our website.
  3. Install Signal
    We use Signal for communication.

    Your info is protected under GDPR. We follow our privacy policy.
  5. Update Preferences
    Change your availability or preferences anytime via your host portal.
  6. Join Host Groups
    You can join a general group, local WhatsApp group, or start your own.
  7. Review Guests Before Hosting
    You’ll receive details before deciding.
  8. Share House Info
    Let guests know about food, bedding, and house rules.
  9. Keep It Verbal
    Keep communication with guests verbal for safety and ask that guests reapply for shelter through the website, even if you're friends.
  10. Share Feedback
    Let us know how it went — we value your input.
